Day 13 - Dream Gig

Right now, I have two dream gigs—and they’re actually pretty different from each other.

One would be an ongoing gig at a nursing home, assisted living facility, or even a hotel—something consistent. Once a week for a few months, or once a month for a year. I’ve had the chance to return to a few places (like a tea room during the Christmas season), and there’s something really special about that.
Getting to recognize faces, chat with staff, and hear someone say, “I remember you from last year—I’ve been looking forward to this”… that never gets old.

My other dream is a little bigger—traveling for a concert tour.

No official links for that just yet… but it’s still fun to imagine. 😊

I have traveled with a smaller harp and played for weddings and events in Brazil, which felt like a small glimpse of that dream—and I’ll gladly take it.

And somewhere in between those two ideas is something I’ve already gotten to experience: being part of events, sometimes even sharing a gig with another harpist. Those moments have been just as meaningful.

At this point in life, becoming famous isn’t really the goal.

I’ve had the opportunity to play for so many beautiful, meaningful moments over the years, and I don’t take that lightly. Being invited into those spaces—weddings, services, special events—it’s an honor every time.

​And being asked to come back? That might be the real dream.

I had the opportunity to be back at Trinity Presbyterian Church for Christmas and take part of the River Region Harp Ensemble with me. An absolute honor!
